Update from the President – March 30, 2020

Dear Undergraduate Students,

We hope that you have been able to maintain your overall wellness and adapt as best you can to remote learning. To celebrate the last week of classes, we are hosting online Wilf’s programming this week at 8 pm today, tomorrow and Wednesday via our Students’ Union Instagram!

Today, Jack, our Open Mic host is back hosting Open Mic and inviting you to join him live on Instagram! Tomorrow, everyone’s favourite Bingo host Twan will be returning and calling out numbers live for a chance to win Amazon gift cards and of course some Wilf’s swag. On Wednesday, join in on some trivia fun online via Crowdpurr. We’ll be giving away a $50 Amazon gift card to our overall winner and a Wilf’s prize pack. We are all going through this journey together so tune in and share a good time with us!

As the year is coming to an end, we also want to celebrate the achievements of our Programming and Services volunteers. The work that they have put in the last year has added to the already vibrant environments on our Waterloo and Brantford campuses and I hope has inspired more students to get involved here at Laurier. Be sure to stay tuned to @yourstudentsunion to see the winners of our volunteer appreciation awards in Waterloo and congratulations to our Brantford nominees and winners who were announced last week.

Finally, we are wrapping up our Tips to Study & Thrive at Home as we help navigate this new space of online life.   Over the last few weeks, we posted a new tip to help with schoolwork or being at home and it is our hope that this has been helpful to you in some way. Make sure to engage with us and let us know of any tips or ideas that have helped you over the past few weeks that may help others get ready for final exams.

Only one week left of classes Golden Hawks, YOU CAN DO IT!
