This Week in the Students’ Union

To those who haven’t started already, welcome back to another semester at Wilfrid Laurier University! The Students’ Union wishes you nothing but success during the Winter 2019 term!

With all that said, it’s going to be a busy January, with the #LaurierVotes election season kicking off at 9:20pm on Sunday, January 6th! There’s lots going on, so here’s the need to know information this week:

Open Forum for Candidates (Brantford)

Everyone on the Brantford campus will get their opportunity to get to know all of the candidates for the upcoming election at the open forum, which will be happening on Wednesday, January 9th (that’s today!) from 10-4pm in the Multipurpose Room in the Students’ Centre! Take this opportunity to ask any questions to the candidates, so that you know they’re looking to make the changes you want!

Presidential Debate (Brantford)

While the event will be in Brantford, Waterloo students can also participate in the presidential debate! On Friday, January 11 at 7pm, all the presidential candidates will answer YOUR questions! Send any questions you have for them to our Twitter account, @students_union, and either come to the debate in the RCW Lobby, or follow along on the live stream on our Facebook page!
