SU Desk Associate (Brantford)

The Students’ Union Desk (SU Desk) is a customer service and central reception desk for the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union, providing students with general information, event and attraction tickets, technology rentals, undergraduate health and dental plan support, among additional services. You will provide a concierge type service to all visitors, in a friendly and professional way, answering general inquiries about the campus, the Students’ Union and the community. You will remain well versed in the service offerings of the Students’ Union and the University. Reporting to the Director, Member Services, you will maintain a high level of customer service by providing visitors to the Students’ Union with information to aid in their student and community life by delivering accurate and timely service. In order to fulfill the aforementioned duties, you must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

EDUCATION: Ontario Secondary School Diploma, currently enrolled as an undergraduate at Wilfrid Laurier University

HOSPITALITY (Brantford)

The Hospitality Services department oversees all hospitality operations of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union on the Waterloo and Brantford campuses. Our operations consist of Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar and The Turret on the Waterloo campus, and Golden Grounds on the Brantford campus. Along with the daily aspects of a restaurant and nightclub/bar operations, a variety of catering and special events are held within the establishments. Reporting to Golden Grounds Supervisor & Hospitality Services Operations Manager, the Golden Grounds Crew member serves patrons through processing and completing customers’ orders accurately and efficiently, providing accurate information to assist food and beverage selections, all well ensuring to maintain cafe ambiance. In addition, the incumbent will assist in the execution of service during special events. In order to fulfill the aforementioned duties, the Golden Grounds Crew member must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills.

HOSPITALITY FRONT-OF-HOUSE SHIFT LEAD (Waterloo)

The Hospitality Services department oversees all hospitality operations of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union on the Waterloo and Brantford campuses. Our operations consist of Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar and The Turret on the Waterloo campus, and Golden Grounds on the Brantford campus. Along with the daily aspects of a restaurant and nightclub/bar operations, a variety of catering and special events are held within the establishments. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager Waterloo, the Front of House Shift Lead will be focused on the daily operations within our business establishments on the Waterloo campus. The incumbent will be highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, be extremely well organized, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills.
