Dear Undergraduate Students,

Given the decisions made by Wilfrid Laurier University, the global situation, public health advice, and the health of our community the Students’ Union has made the following multi-campus changes to the services we offer.

Wilf’s will be operating with regular business hours and the Turret will be open for study space as specified on our Instagram. All Wilf’s, Turret and Hawk’s Nest programming is cancelled including but not limited to Open Mic Night, BINGO, Trivia and any events scheduled by clubs and/or off-campus groups in both spaces.

All club/association events for the remainder of the semester have been cancelled. This includes, but is not limited to, any general member meetings, executive team meetings, booths in any campus building, workshops, study session aids, small and large scale on- and off-campus events, etc.

The Students’ Union will continue its advocacy efforts with a focus on online communications. The Students Rights Advisory Committee (SRAC) will still be accessible over email for any landlord-tenant disputes or academic appeal information.

All A-Team, First Year Project, Peer Connect, Shinerama and EcoHawks programming is cancelled. This includes the year-end concert and the post Saint Patrick’s Day clean up.

Food Bank will continue its regular offering of Hot Meals and Parcels. ERT will no longer be bookable for events. ERT and Foot Patrol shifting have been cancelled.

All interviews, with the exception of carousels (which are cancelled), for Volunteer, Part-Time and Full-Time positions will continue as scheduled.

The U-Desk will operate with regular business hours. All technology rentals will be due Monday March 16th 2020. If students are in critical need, the U-Desk will provide rentals upon a needs-based assessment. If you feel as though you are in critical need of a rental, please contact

The Students’ Union will be providing Daily COVID-19 Updates by the end of the day Monday through Friday, with weekly Presidential Updates every Friday at noon. For ongoing updates from the university, please visit Laurier’s novel coronavirus website. Please direct any questions, comments, or concerns you have to
